Our Founder
"I strongly believe in the importance of preserving our heritage."

Our Story
At Palini, we believe in turning everyday moments into something special. Our journey began with a simple idea: to bring a piece of India’s rich art and heritage into modern homes, while supporting the incredible artisans behind these timeless crafts.
The name Palini comes from a Sanskrit word meaning “protection”—and that’s what we stand for: protecting and nurturing India’s artistic traditions, like the centuries-old Pichhwai art that inspires our first collection. Whether it’s a beautifully crafted plate or a unique bowl, each piece tells a story of craftsmanship, culture, and heart.
Our founder, Shreya Golchha, who started as a chartered accountant, felt something was missing. After connecting with local potters, she witnessed how many artisans were moving away from their craft. That’s when the mission became clear: to support these artisans, preserve their craft, and give people like you a way to enjoy it in your daily life.
So, when you pick up a piece from Palini, you’re not just buying a product—you’re becoming part of a larger story, one that helps keep traditional arts alive and thriving.

Brand Value And Mission
At Palini, our mission is simple: to preserve and celebrate India’s artistic heritage while empowering the talented artisans behind these traditional crafts. We believe in creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful, blending cultural richness with modern design sensibilities.
Our core values center around sustainability, craftsmanship, and community empowerment. Through every product we create, we aim to bring you closer to India's vibrant traditions while ensuring a fair livelihood for the artisans who keep these traditions alive.
Our vision is to make terracotta a cherished part of every home, seamlessly connecting tradition with modern living.
What Does 'Palini' Mean
Derived from the Sanskrit word "Palini" translates to "the goddess who nurtures and protects." This feminine aspect of the name is integral to our ethos, as it encapsulates the essence of caring, nurturing, and safeguarding our cultural heritage.
In our brand's identity, "Palini" represents more than just a name; it serves as a powerful symbol of unity and strength. The notion of a nurturing goddess is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our culture, and it reflects our commitment to preserving and nourishing the rich heritage that forms the foundation of our society.
Furthermore, our logo, which symbolizes interconnectedness, serves as a visual testament to our mission. It signifies not only the revival of traditional art but also the growth and sustainability of the communities and artisans we work with. Just as a nurturing goddess cares for her devotees, we are dedicated to the well-being and prosperity of our artisans, their families, and the broader cultural ecosystem.
In essence, "Palini" embodies the feminine spirit of nurturing, protection, and growth, which underscores our dedication to preserving and enriching our cultural heritage while empowering those who contribute to its vitality.
